In Resonate we not only value being connected personally, but also as a church. Just like each of us need people around us to help us understand and love out following Christ, we fell we need to be connected and networked with other organizations as a church. None of these organizations have direct authority in the life of Resonate, instead they are a collection of voluntary associations for the purpose of fellowship, encouragement, missions and resourcing.
On a national level we connect with the Southern Baptist Convention. This is a global network of 40,000+ churches with over 16 million members. While we do not hold strongly to every Southern Baptist stance on issues in our culture it remains the best fit for Resonate.
One of the strengths of the Southern Baptist Convention is its commitment to misisons. The SBC has two mission agencies: the North American Mission Board and the International Mission Board. Together these missions agencies make up the largest mission sending organization in the world with over 10,000 missionaries on the field. Most of the Resonate staff is funded in some way by the North American Mission Board, so we’re a huge fan.
A little close to home is the Northwest Baptist Convention. The North West Baptist Convention is a group of over 400 churches throughout Oregon, Washington, and the Idaho panhandle. The NWBC’s dedication to reaching college campuses and college towns with the good news of Jesus makes Resonate possible through an organization called Northwest Collegiate Ministries. NCM (formally called BSU and BSM) is the parent organization of Resonate Church and has been a part of WSU and U of I campus life since 1970. For the first 36 years it existed as a para-church organization before morphing into a church called Resonate.
Resonate continues to cooperate with other NCM’s across the northwest sending missionaries, participating in conferences and retreats, and connecting as ministers to the campus. Resonate is considered a mission church because it operates within the context of Northwest Collegiate Ministry, instead of complete autonomy like a typical Northwest Baptist Convention Church.
We are also connected with individual churches around the country that help support the mission of God through Resonate:

Central Baptist Church, Livingston, TX
