I was born in Seattle and lived in and around the greater Puget Sound area my entire childhood. My family started attending church when I was about 5 years old and shortly after that my brother and I started attending Christian school.
Throughout my elementary, middle and high school years I had numerous teacher and mentors pouring into me spiritually. So when I started attending Washington State University the fall of 1994 I should have had it all figured out...or so I would have thought. It was during my years at WSU (and because of a college ministry called Baptist Collegiate Ministry) that God revealed himself to me and changed knowledge into relationship and belief into practice. It was during this time that I met my wife Star and we married the summer of 2000. After that we moved to Vancouver, WA to attend Golden Gate Baptist Theological Seminary and started working in college ministry almost immediately. We have two girls, Abby and Zoe.
It is my desire to be part of the same kind of life change in others that happened to me in college...and honestly is still happening to me. Whether someone is hearing about Jesus for the first time or has heard about him for most of their life but hasn't put all the pieces together, know this: he wants to radically transform your reality, to give you hope and a future. I want to be part of a church that introduces people to Jesus and together lives out what it means to worship the Father, Son and Holy Spirit in our communities and on our campuses.
